Jackie Haas, a dedicated servant of the 79th House District covering Kankakee, Will, and Grundy Counties, has spent over three decades committed to community service. Her journey began with a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Valparaiso University and a Master's degree in mental health from the University of Illinois at Chicago's Jane Addams School of Social Work.
As a social worker, Jackie championed underserved populations, advocating tirelessly for those without a voice. Her leadership as CEO of the Helen Wheeler Center for Community Mental Health facilitated healthcare expansion, economic growth, and early childhood development in her community. Additionally, her tenure on the Kankakee County Board from 2018 to 2020 provided her with a comprehensive perspective on governance.
Residing in Bourbonnais with her husband, Bill, for 27 years, they've raised two children and remain deeply involved in community coalitions and local collaborations.
