Tim is a lifelong resident of Illinois and a dedicated community leader, having served on various committees, including an economic development commission and a park district board, while being a devoted member his church. He is also the co-owner and executive vice president of Ozinga Bros. Inc., a leading Illinois-based company in the ready-mix concrete industry. Tim is an alumnus of Trinity Christian College in Palos Heights and Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management in Evanston. Above all, Tim takes immense pride in being a devoted husband and father of four girls.
Frustrated with the state's politics and politicians, in 2020 Tim ran for Illinois State Representative in the 37th District. He was disappointed by campaign consultants but discovered a dedicated team to run his campaign, which later became Big Tent Coalition.
As the State Representative in Illinois' 37th House District, Tim is optimistic about the future of Illinois and its people. He is committed to sharing the expertise and hard work of Big Tent Coalition with other candidates who share his passion for creating positive change in the state's politics. Tim does not receive any compensation for his work with Big Tent Coalition and is driven only by his desire to make a difference in Illinois politics.
